“ Waiter was friendly and suggested dishes and portions since it was our first time here. 2 appetizers, 1 side, and 2 mains with sticky rice were more than enough for 4 people. The food had so much flavor. I loved the papaya salad that was served with the salmon. Wish they sold that as an appetizer separately. The salmon was very fishy but everyone else in my party thought it was the best dish. We added the crispy potatoes on last minute because the waiter thought we didn't order enough food and we didn't end up eating it because we were so full. We were seated in the adorable 'outdoor' seating area that was equipped with heating lamps and was quite cozy. The interior design was immaculate. The colors complemented each other and I loved the color coordination of the menus - very well thought out. This would be an adorable place to sit on Valentine's Day. ”
“ Came for lunch on a Sunday at 1pm and ordered the gai tod, nam tok, and the Tom yum noodle soup. Not too busy on this day and time. All dishes were tasteful and spicy (which is must for any Thai place). The pork jowl is the perfect cut and you can't mess it up! I also enjoyed the sauce that came with the chicken. However, I wished the Tom yum had more lime. Overall, I would consider coming back for the dinner menu. ”
“ I came here for lunch with friends one day and we had a great time! The inside of the restaurant has lots of booths for you to sit at as well as bar seating. Service is fairly quick, and kind. My friends and I ordered the boat noodles and the curry noodles. When the boat noodles came out, my friends and I were surprised and hesitant by the dark broth of the boat noodles, but in the end, it was so delicious. The broth was rich, full of flavor, and felt like a sweeter version of pho. The portions were also big and the protein was generous. I would love to come back to try their dinner menu! ”
“ Yum yum yum!! Right off the bat, such a lovely place to have casual dinner or a nice lunch with friends or even solo! I would consider this spot to be an elevated Thai spot. Prices and servings do reflect this. They have a nice bar area, and plenty of seating. I went for lunch so we did get the lunch menu. For drinks, we ordered a Thai Tea and a Curb A-Peel. I absolutely loved the Thai tea!! So flavorful and rich. Also they use nugget ice and I am obsessed. On to the most important part, the food. We ordered a plate of the Gai Tod and Curry Noodles. I've never had either before this location but wow, i think the bar is set pretty high! Gai Tod was perfectly crispy and paired amazingly with the sweet sauce they serve it with. Curry noodles were my favorite!! A blend of tons of fresh ingredients and well seasoned broth. The meat was also well cooked and paired very nicely with the curry style noodles. ”
“ Start to finish everything was fantastic, lovely staff. Very welcoming throughout our experience, from making reservations to walking out the door at the end of our meal. In a city where service isn't always a highlight, this is a gem! We started out with the Kua tofu, lots of flavor packed into this unsuspecting little dish. Next we had the Thai paella & the green curry, both were fabulous (loved the spice in the curry!), but the layered flavor in the paella was *chefs kiss* perfection. For sides we chose the Mon Tod, all I can say is do not sleep on this dish! We tried a few different cocktails but the fave of the table was definitely the Pink Pony Club, bright & mildly sweet, it paired wonderfully with everything. Great food, cozy seating, delicious drinks; all the makings for a perfect evening -will definitely be back! ”
“ Tried pad see ew with tofu and curry noodles. Both had lots of salt but large portions and very filling. Chicken was fresh and delicious. Loved the pickled cabbage - crunchy. The curry was too spicy for my liking. Tofu in pad see ew was amazing, very fresh and large chunks with crispy outer layer. But again, everything was super salty compared to other places. The atmosphere and decor inside was amazing by the way. Everyone was friendly. ”
“ Came here for a late lunch and it was not as busy as we've seen it for dinner! Although it seems there's different menus for lunch and dinner, we were pleasantly surprised with the food! With seating indoors and outdoors (the outdoor seating is covered which makes it perfect if you want to visit during rainy weather, as it also has space heaters), there a decent amount of space for all. We got 2 appetizers and 2 dishes to share between 3 people and that was plenty! The tofu and potato appetizers were so good, I could eat those all day and be content. The yellow curry was good and had a good tangy flavor to it. The pad see ew was delicious and the noodles were cooked to my liking. Definitely was to come back and experience the dinner menu. Would recommend Phuket Cafe! ”
“ Phuket Cafe had been on our list forever, and we finally made it! There's always a wait for dinner, and reservations are tough to get, so definitely book well in advance if you're planning to go for dinner. We ended up going for lunch, and it did not disappoint--absolutely delicious! We started with the Kia tofu, which was perfectly crispy without being greasy and packed with flavor. The Mon Tod (potatoes) came in a generous portion and were super tasty. The standout for me was the Pad See Ew--by far the best I've had in Portland (and trust me, I've tried it at just about every Thai spot in town). The curry noodles were also a hit, with a perfect balance of sweetness and just the right amount of spice. The outdoor patio, with its cozy heaters, adds to the charming and festive ambiance, making it a great spot even as the colder months approach. I was so pleased with the experience and can't wait to come back for dinner. Highly recommend! ”
“ For a city that has a lot of thai food, I was recommended this place by a colleague and boy, it delivered. I would argue it was the best thai food I've had in my life and wish I had more time to eat through the menu. Relatively small shop but very Portland vibe. Street parking is hit or miss pending on when you go but service for takeout was pretty quick. But geez, the flavor on the food here is insane. I got a pad see ew for lunch and while price is a bit higher than normal for thai food, it is so worth it. The pad see ew has some char but the sauce that coats each perfect noodle is intense - sweet, savory, umami goodness. The pork is super tender and well flavored too and the vegetables are cut the right size, right tenderness and helps you feel healthier. Noodles are wide and floppy and thus take in the sauce perfectly. I dare you to find me a better rendition of this dish anywhere. They have a flipped menu for dinner, so worth coming different times of day. ”
